AGA Interior Design is a full service residential interior design firm located in the heart of historic Charlestown, Massachusetts. ALEXANDRA G. AQUADRO Owner & Principal Designer
Alexandra (or Alex as most call her) discovered her passion for design at an early age, while growing up in an antique home filled with wide plank floor boards and a beehive oven. “I would frequently find paint and fabric samples as my parents worked room by room to renovate our historic home. The biggest thrill was when I selected my bedroom wallpaper in the fourth grade, the cheerful yellow and floral pattern still lines the walls today.”
With experience in textile sales and working for both architecture and interior design firms, Alexandra started AGA Interior Design in 2014.
Alexandra’s signature style showcases a curated mix of warm color palettes, comfortable furnishings, and layered textures. Each project is sophisticated and timeless, while remaining functional and welcoming. Alexandra is involved from the first preliminary phone call to the final installation, her hands on approach ensures that the final result is perfectly tailored to each client.

LILY APRANS Designer & Bookkeeper
Lily has a diverse background in design, with experience in architecture, interior design, and various forms of craftsmanship. In addition to her work with AGA Interior Design, Lily is a mother of three and a jewelry artisan. She learned jewelry making and repair from the North Bennet Street School, and today her jewelry (Lily Johannsen Designs) showcases her signature mark of clean lines, geometric shapes, and repeating patterns.
Lily brings her talent and close attention to detail to each of AGA Interior Design's projects. She plays a crucial role in ensuring that each scope of work is executed to the highest standards.

Alex has helped our family with the interior design of our home in Lexington since we bought our house in 2012. I can’t recommend Alex enough. She’s thoughtful, easy to work with and really takes the time to understand what each client is looking for. She offers up her opinion while never forcing a design idea on you and really wants to make sure that the looks she is creating are an extension of your home - rather than just a showpiece to be decorated.
She always had multiple options to show and was very responsive to questions and our opinions at each stage of the process. My husband and I truly love what Alex was able to do and I wouldn’t hesitate to work with Alex again on our next project.
Working with Alex turned out to be one of the best decisions I made! I was reluctant to engage with an interior designer at first worrying I would have to choose styles I didn’t like, but Alex assessed my style, asked questions, then understood what I was looking to accomplish.
She then set out, found beautiful items and gave me choices! It was such a pleasurable experience and both my daughter’s bedroom and bathroom look stunning.
From this experience, I want to re-do the entire house! Some areas will only need re-arranging of furniture and finding accessories to complete the room. Other rooms will certainly require more work but all this will take place with Alex by my side. I am falling in love with my house again!
